Calling it a Congress hotel is misleading. There’s no Congress hotel at the Nancy railway station, this should be called "Hotel Nancy Gare Kebab." I absolutely don’t recommend it. My room was cold, with no heating and only very weak AC. Breakfast was in a cold room or the Kebab store. The stairs were really difficult with luggage or for families. The shower door was broken and replaced by a curtain, and the safe had been ripped off the wall, so it wasn’t safe for valuables. A nightmare for me!

The room was okay and clean, but the soap dispenser didn’t work and they only gave us one towel. This isn’t family friendly as the booking site says: there’s no elevator, and the narrow spiral stairs are hard to manage with small children. I wouldn’t stay here with kids again.

The room and bathroom were spacious and modern, and the central location was convenient for the price. The shower had good pressure and heat. There was a new TV, plenty of outlets, stylish furniture, a fridge, a lockbox, and a kettle. In-room breakfast was affordable and adequate, though not lavish. A few drawbacks: check-in felt strange and awkward, and the fast-food place attached to the hotel gave off a greasy smell. The rooms didn’t block outside noise or temperatures very well, and getting upstairs meant using a narrow, winding staircase with no elevator. Parking across the street costs 21€ per day.

Everything felt recent and fresh, and I liked the hotel. The reception is inside the kebab restaurant, which is a bit odd, and it could be noisy at night.

A really pleasant stay. The hotel was very nice, the staff were super nice too, and they spoke English really well.
