Le mas de la Gavaresse

Really nice.

The kids were happiest out in the garden, and we got some lovely hikes in nearby while the weather was sunny. Mas de la Gavaresse suited our family of 17 well, with all three cottages equipped for our stay. We had a very pleasant time.

Estelle and Marc made the stay especially fun with their warm, helpful, and funny personalities. We laughed a lot and are already looking forward to coming back. l'Orangerie was a lovely place for our family of four, with comfortable beds and beautiful furnishings. Its bright living room looks out onto a lush, overgrown garden, and the apartment is wonderfully quiet despite being just a 10-minute walk from the beach. We enjoyed the relaxed morning walk to the bakery, and you can set off hiking right from the house for a fantastic panoramic view of the Mediterranean.

Mas de la Gavaresse has a history that gives the place a distinctive character and made us feel at home. We were 19, young and old together, and the three cottages worked well for our family holiday week. Estelle and Marc welcomed us in person and took time to explain how everything worked. The central cottage has a practical layout and enough amenities for everyone, and its kitchen is particularly well stocked for cooking for a large group. One small drawback, the extra beds aren't as comfortable as the others. We had a superb stay in a part of the French Riviera that still feels relatively unspoiled.
