The flat-footed climb to the top floor was a workout, and the square below stayed lively with people talking until nearly midnight. That’s the tradeoff of being right on Place du Plot: restaurants, two supermarkets, and the sights are all close by. Inside, the rustic apartment had what we needed for one night, including a lounge, a small kitchen with a coffee maker, and a very comfortable king bed. Everything worked, though the TV could use an update.

The place is spread across four floors, with a restaurant downstairs, and sits right in the middle of Le Puy-en-Velay. The decor is really original and the apartment has plenty of space. The stairs are very steep, but the comfortable bedding makes up for them. Just perfect, go without hesitation.

We had a lovely stay in the charming apartment on the fifth and top floor. It looks out over Place du Plot, which was bustling by day but calm in the evening when we visited in early September. Being right in the center made it easy to explore Le Puy. There wasn't a kitchen, but the mini-fridge, microwave, and dishes came in handy. Bicycle parking is 30 meters away, in front of the police station. We also really enjoyed the restaurant downstairs, which serves good local products. Thanks for the stay!

The city center location is a plus, as are the large, comfortable bed and the good-quality shampoo and shower gel. The rest was in very poor shape: the shower didn't work, the furniture was badly worn, sound carried through the room, and the doors wouldn't close. The paintings were in very poor taste, and the TV remote didn't work properly. This shouldn't be offered for rent.

In the historic center, these apartments are in an old building. They have what you need to make breakfast and heat up meals, and I thought the value for money was excellent.
