We left almost as soon as we arrived. The place was clean and the room basic, with a view of ??? There’s no TV, apparently they stopped having one five years ago. We’d only taken off our shoes, but they wouldn’t refund us. And yes, shoes have to come off. Unless you fancy arriving with a compost smell on you and playing Scrabble, I can’t recommend it. The way they handled the refund showed a real lack of integrity. We also missed the famous hearty breakfast, which was probably meant to be a vegan treat. If you’re one of my lawn-grazing friends, maybe this is for you. For “civilized” people, run away.
