Les Carmes and spa

We could have stayed forever. The property is a huge, well-kept park, peaceful and beautifully maintained, less than 10 minutes’ drive from l’Isle sur la Sorgue. The house has wonderful old Provençal charm, dates from the 18th century and used to be a priory. It’s very quiet, with a warm, lovely pool and all the spa amenities. Our room was huge, really more like a flat, with three rooms and a living room that comfortably fit us, our two teenagers and a dog. Pascal is the soul of the place. He puts on a daily 7pm aperitif for guests to talk and share tips, and is very helpful with restaurant bookings. Breakfast is served each morning. There’s also a kitchen, though it wasn’t open during our stay. Thanks, we can’t recommend Le Domaine les Carmes enough!

Pascal makes you feel welcome and makes sure you have what you need. The house is amazing, and the rooms are really high quality. A lovely place in a beautiful part of France, I can’t recommend it enough.

Pascal was a wonderful host. He worked incredibly hard to make sure every guest felt welcome and had what they needed. After he showed us around the property and offered welcome drinks, we felt like genuine guests. We arrived as evening was beginning without dinner reservations, and he quickly found us a great restaurant in town with a lovely view over the water. The breakfast was fabulous, and relaxing by the pool and in the colourful garden was a treat. The villa itself is gorgeous, sprawling and well maintained, perfect for peace and relaxation. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you’d want. I highly recommend staying here.

I spent one night there with my family last February. The beautiful views and friendly hospitality made it a lovely stay, and because it was my first time in Provence, I think I’ll remember it for a long time. Our bedroom was spacious, tidy and clean, and breakfast was very good. Most of all, I was touched by the hostess’s kindness. I sometimes think of Carmes back in Korea.
