ibis Styles Le Touquet

The hotel is fresh and inviting, with a beach theme that doesn't feel kitsch. My room was excellent, with a balcony, and the whole place was very clean. It's very quiet, but you'll need a car to get to the town centre, or it's about a 30-minute walk. Breakfast is a continental buffet with plenty of bakery items, charcuterie, juices, tea and coffee. The staff were friendly and efficient.

We only stopped for one night and arrived late, but the restaurant and staff made it memorable. The kitchen had closed, so the very friendly team put together a cheese and meat board, gave us a complimentary glass of red, and stayed late to make sure we were happy. That kind of service is rare. The garden grounds are lovely, with a huge bar and seating area, and we could easily have stayed longer. It's dog friendly, too, which was a blessing. An ibis and a Mercure share the site and restaurant. Our Ibis room was well equipped and designed, and perfectly good.

The hotel is a new build, so the amenities are fairly new, which is good. It has live music on the days we were there, a restaurant and an outdoor seating area. Another hotel is in the same building. I'm giving it three stars because it lacks basics like a kettle and fridge, and it didn't feel family friendly.
