It’s a peaceful, beautiful spot, and we were very happy with the rental. This is an extraordinary villa for Martinique, with fantastic owners and impeccable care and service. You’ll need a rental car, and an SUV would be better. It would be nice if the townhall arranged to clear the sargasse / algae from the nearby beaches.

Getting to Macabou beach took only two minutes on foot, which was perfect for our kitesurfing sessions. We also worried about sargassum, but there was no smell or other problem, so we were comfortable throughout. We spent two and a half weeks at Villa Rosa Blanca with six adults and four children. The villa had plenty of room and was elegant and really comfortable, with thoughtful details for a big group. The pool was stunning and the amenities were in impeccable shape. We had a warm, attentive welcome and got excellent tips for exploring Martinique and enjoying the activities. It was a magical stay, full of precious memories. We’re completely won over and already hope to come back.

The pool was dirty when we arrived, and someone came the following day to clean the pool robot. They should have cleaned it before our arrival and checked that the appliances worked. The nearby beach was also inaccessible because of a huge sargassum stranding, with a very strong smell that reached inside the house. The villa itself is spacious and modern, with an incredible beachfront position and a magnificent landscaped garden. But the air conditioning in the main house bedrooms, the washing machine, and both TVs didn’t work. We’d been told two days before arrival that the air conditioning unit was out of order; we only found out about the other problems once we got there. The two attached studios had working air conditioning and TVs, but we’d specifically rented the main house because we were traveling with children. Given the price and the amenities we expected, these were a lot of inconveniences. We weren’t expecting a flower lei, but a small welcome gesture like a fruit basket would have been appreciated at a luxury villa. Since the air conditioners and TVs couldn’t be fixed during our stay, our rental agency offered us another place three days later, and we accepted. We regret that there was no compensation for the three days we couldn’t stay.

The beach and walking paths are right outside the house, and shops are around a 10-15 minute drive away. We spent nearly three weeks at Villa Rosa Blanca with our three daughters and had a wonderful holiday. Our host was friendly, very helpful, and full of good advice. We’d definitely recommend the villa.
