I had lunch there on a Sunday and came away delighted. The goat curry was amazing, and the portions were generous for the price. After such a hearty meal, the homemade coconut punch and ice cream were divine. The welcome was a pleasant surprise, too. A really friendly restaurant, highly recommended 😋😋

I regret stopping here and will NEVER return. The food was disappointing in taste, presentation, and value across all three dishes we tried. The frozen lobster was listed at 600g, but there was hardly anything to eat. The restaurant was dirty, and so were the plates and carafes, which were paid for and only half full. The waiter kept pushing things; be careful not to get drawn into the sales pitch. We were the only diners, and I can see why. Waiters were all around us, and the music was loud. Prices were far too high for the food. I strongly advise against this place. Have a good day.

The lobster was frozen, and the one weighed wasn’t the one served to us, the portion on our plate was obviously smaller. A three-quarter-full carafe of tap water also cost €2. The price was excessive for both the quantity and quality: the rice was overcooked and the octopus extremely salty. The TV kept making noise while we were served. Definitely not the best way to try local specialties. Avoid this restaurant.

Prices are posted at the entrance or shared over the phone, and the restaurant follows a traditional style. If you’re after an authentic Creole meal, you’ll get a warm welcome here, and Julot knows how to make guests feel at home. It’s all about the food, with no frills. Call ahead to reserve your dish, especially grilled fish, since it takes time. This isn’t the spot for Creole bistro fare. And if you’re the first to arrive, remember to ask them to turn the volume down 😊

Fine for just one night. The owner was good, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and both hot and cold water and air conditioning worked. The parking and guardian were negatives. The door was thin, there were no shutters, and we only got one towel for a double room. It’s near the sea, but this time of year there’s lots of sargassum, and the smell is overwhelming in the morning. Without it, the area would be lovely for a morning walk.
