The Seine is only a few steps away, and there are shops and restaurants within an easy walk. The house is beautifully placed, looking toward the church and Chateau Gaillard. Our room and the rest of Maison Carpe Diem were lovely, with thoughtful details that made the whole place feel welcoming. Bruno and Laurent were attentive, exceptionally friendly hosts. Breakfast was freshly made in the morning and had everything we could want. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Thank you, Bruno and Laurent, for such a wonderful start to our holiday. We’d gladly recommend staying here.

The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, with several kinds of cheese and just about anything we could imagine. Our hosts were charming and helped us sort out Sunday dinner plans. It was an enchanting stay, and a perfect beginning to our 25th anniversary in France.

Breakfast was a feast every morning, with fresh orange juice, eggs, ham, homemade pastries, cheese, and cakes. Everything was delicious. Our two-year-old son was made to feel welcome too, with toys and special treats at breakfast. Bruno and Laurent put so much care into every detail of their bed and breakfast, and they’re kind, welcoming hosts who go out of their way to make the stay special. The house and its setting felt perfect, a real home away from home. We can’t wait to come back. 12 out of 10 for carpe diem!!!

Les Andelys is a charming medieval town along the Seine, with the ruins of Richard the Lionhearts castle looking down over it. We felt like we’d stumbled on a hidden gem. Bruno and Laurent are passionate hosts, and it shows in the details. Our room was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was a real treat, and there’s a lovely garden where you can sit and look toward the castle.

We could see the beautiful old church from our room. Their sunroom and outdoor patio and garden are lovely spots for a delicious breakfast, with a picture-perfect view of Chateau Gaillard. Laurent and Bruno are marvelous hosts, such thoughtful and caring people. You can tell they love what they do and have put so much care into their beautiful guest home and garden.
