La Cime des Arcs - Chalet des Neiges

The apartments are practical, with a small pool and sauna that are modest in size but perfectly adequate. You're right by the slopes, ski rental, ski schools, and meeting points. There are also enough restaurants and bars to pick from for a week.

The three-room apartment was spacious, clean, quiet, and had a great view. The service was very friendly and they tried to help with every request. The pool and sauna were on the small side, and the pool had a lot of chlorine. The smell in the ski locker room was a daily challenge.

It's a fantastic place, and the staff are professional, friendly, and quick to respond when something comes up. Our room was a bit cold, but I was given a small heater. There was only one toilet paper roll, which wasn't enough for two people. A spare one would have been nice.

Horrendous. The room reeked of smoke, and the staff didn't care. The beds and pillows were rock hard, with the cheapest bedding and mattresses that badly need replacing. The cleaning is down to whatever state the previous guest left the place in. Staff don't clean between guests unless you pay an outrageous amount for it. They give you a sponge, a tiny bit of dish soap, and some multipurpose cleaner, then it's your job to clean the whole apartment properly, including vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing the bathroom. No bleach, toilet cleaner, or rubber gloves. How clean do you think that bathroom is? With the room stinking of smoke too, the standards clearly aren't high. I've never stayed anywhere where guests had to do the cleaning, not even a hostel. This is not 4*.
