The hotel itself was fantastic, with a pool, garden, and a great view of the castle and Alpilles all day. The rooms are a bit small but well equipped, including a balcony. The restaurant was disappointing, though. The staff didn't seem very interested or welcoming, and they took a long time to get our order but served the food very quickly. It made us wonder if most of the dishes were prepared in advance. Both the shrimp and the fish came with brown gravy. You expect better in France. I'd highly recommend staying in Baux for the view, but you may want to eat in the village.

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds are lovely, and both breakfast and the restaurant's food were good. A path makes it a short walk to the center. Our suite had two rooms, and the smaller bedroom had no air conditioning. We used a fan, which was enough for the warm May days.

The views, cave restaurant, food, and staff made the stay worthwhile. The location is great, and the staff were fabulous and friendly. Our room was very clean, though the decor was a bit hit and miss.

A very nice, unpretentious hotel. The rooms are modest, but the bathroom was recently renovated, spacious, and well kept. Breakfast buffet was nice, and you can ask for fried eggs. There's a hidden path to the village, about a five-minute walk, and they let us leave our car while we visited the castle and village.

We had a wonderful lunch for six, sitting outside in the shade under the trees with gorgeous views over the valleys and mountains in Baux de Provence. The food was delicious, and the owners and staff were so kind and welcoming. The house, now a 16-room hotel, was built in 1630 and originally used for making wine. There are also troglodyte rooms on the site dating back to 3000BC. With the peaceful views and the warmth of the staff, it was a really special experience. Thank you!
