L'Oxalys

We came back to L'Oxalys for a second time and had another amazing stay. The apartments may have been renewed since last year, or maybe we were lucky enough to get one of the newly refurbished ones. Ours was comfortable and functional, and we’re looking forward to coming back next year. My one complaint is about guests bringing glass bottles and glasses to the pool, where lots of children play. It comes down to respect and common sense, but hotel staff should enforce the pool rules promptly.

We’d definitely try to stay here again if we return to Val Thorens. The apartment was very clean and had everything needed, and the reception staff were lovely and helpful. There’s a great spa, and I had an amazing massage. The ski shop is inside the hotel, which was convenient, and the staff there were patient and kind. The hotel also has an amazing restaurant. It’s about a seven-minute walk to the center and close enough to the beginner slopes.

We’ve stayed at Oxalys before, and the refurbishment has really taken it up a level. The apartment was fantastic, probably one of the best I’ve stayed in. Service was excellent as always, and the location was fantastic. We’ve just come back from a week and will definitely visit again.

After many years in Val Thorens, this was our first time at l'Oxalys. We needed more room because of our first grandchild, and it turned out to be a good choice. The living room was nice, and there were four great bedrooms, each with a great rain shower. Everything had recently been renewed and looked fresh and modern. All the equipment we needed was there, and the support staff were great. Skiing in and out was easy with the slope right beside us. We’ll definitely look at staying here again next year.
