We had to bring our own sheets. The dishes, mattress, and blanket looked and smelled disgusting, even though the place looked passable at first. It was definitely not clean, and the smell throughout the place was beyond anything I could imagine, day and night.

Hugo made things easy with his kindness, efficiency, and availability, and the whole team was friendly, professional, and helpful. We were welcomed warmly at the real estate agency in Val Thorens. A really pleasant experience.

The location was great, and the basic apartment worked for our group during a week in January 2025. The problems started after we left. We went at 4am and left the place in reasonable shape, though the floor needed sweeping and the bathroom and kitchen needed cleaning. They deducted a €150 cleaning fee. We weren't sure the apartment was expected to be spotless, so we were prepared to accept that charge. But they also took €50 for a late checkout, despite our leaving at 4am, plus €200 for two sets of keys that we'd put in the apartment's post box. They say they couldn't access it. Even if that's true, I doubt cutting two sets of keys costs €200. Altogether, €433 was taken from our deposit. It feels like tourists who have already left the country are being unfairly charged large amounts they can't easily dispute. I emailed a week ago and still haven't received a reply.

Everything was arranged in advance, including the option to pay the apartment deposit online, so all we had to do on arrival in Val Thorens was collect the keys. There was no queue or rush at the agency. The people there were kind and very helpful, and the organization was good. Thanks for a lovely holiday.
