Philippe was attentive and always available. The chalet has been fully renovated in great taste, with an en-suite bathroom in every bedroom and everything well equipped. We loved the easy-to-use spa and the perfect location. Incredible stay, highly recommend it.
The only thing I'd change is the very slow internet. Otherwise, this was an incredible stay, and I hope to come back. I was at chalet Tintin, the largest of those well managed by Phillipe, with my family and two other families, 14 of us in all. Phillipe was a wonderful, kind host, sharing the information we needed and sorting out any unexpected issues. He was especially warm with me, my family and the rest of our group. The chalet is new, beautiful, clean and well kept, with a large living room and a lovely balcony. The balcony has a huge table and two gas fireplaces, which are a real charm. The house sleeps up to 14, and the kitchen made it easy to cook for that many: it has a five-burner gas stove, an electric oven, a microwave that also works as an electric oven, two dishwashers, plenty of useful utensils and pots in different sizes. The bedrooms are comfortable and practical. The bathrooms are very good, with showers and glass enclosures but no bathtubs, which I liked. The hot tub is a standout for its size and position, with a view of the ski run and still plenty of privacy. The sauna is also very good and well maintained. It's right beside a green run, so you can ski out and back in. From there, it's about two minutes down the green run to the base of Berger, with lifts for all ski levels. The chalet is in the upper part of Alpe D’Huez, around 1,900 metres above sea level, which means it's very peaceful and gets plenty of snow. I worried about driving in the snow before renting, but a snow-clearing tractor operator clears the way each morning before sunrise, so cars can get in and out easily. That's essential.
