The guest lounge is comfortable, the ski and boot drying room is useful, and you can park right by the front door. Evening meals were very nice, with three courses and wine included, and they catered well for special diets. Breakfast was basic, though the homemade bread each day was good. The croissants are baked from frozen, which is a shame when the local bakery is so good. They also offer an English-style cooked breakfast. The rooms are in small apartments with a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen-dining area. Unfortunately, ours felt tired and basic, more like a youth hostel. The double bed was two singles with a thin double sponge mattress on top. The bathroom was tatty, the shower mat was falling apart, and for our seven-night stay we got only one bath towel each and one hand towel between us, never replaced. The property is a 10-minute drive from The Alps D’Huez ski resort, which has enough for all abilities to keep you busy for a week. The ski pass also covers Les Deux Alps, about a half-hour drive away, if you want a different area. This place has a lot of potential, but the guest rooms really let it down, and it's expensive for what you get. They are apparently busier in summer with cyclists. Sharing a room three or four to a room might make the price better value, especially if you're fine with basic accommodation.

Our one-bedroom apartment worked perfectly. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had all the utensils you often find missing in rental places. We could make dinner for our son in the apartment, then eat with the other guests in the dining room ourselves. There was plenty of parking and ski storage, and the ski station was only a short drive away, around 10 minutes. It's a charming station with shops, restaurants, a ski school and access to the vast Alpe d'Huez domaine.

We were passing through during the "Race across France" and really enjoyed our stay. The British owners were super lovely and very supportive, even letting us take away a bunch of extra food from the breakfast buffet. 😅🙏

The food was delicious, and the owners were so helpful and welcoming. The place itself is beautiful and cozy, and they’re taking precautions for coronavirus, so we felt fine about that. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Dinner was excellent, and this is a great base for cyclists tackling several cols: Alpe d'Huez, Col du Glandon, and Col de la Croix de Fer.
