We had a very pleasant stay in apartment 17 at the Las Valmonts residence. It’s nicely decorated, well equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher, and the corner balcony gets great light from its east- and south-facing bay windows. The residence is quiet, and the village is charming. One thing seemed odd: we never met the rental manager. We picked up the keys from a mailbox and left them there when we departed. There was no security deposit and no inventory.
La Fare 10 has a handy location, and the kitchen and other amenities are well equipped. The downside is that it’s beside the stairs, so there’s quite a bit of noise.
We especially enjoyed the long balcony. The apartment is in a large chalet, above a shopping mall, with mountain views, waterfalls and snow-covered peaks. It’s classic and typical, and everything is well equipped. In May, Vaujany is lovely for hiking, walks and photography, a good chance to recharge.
The apartment itself is very well laid out, but there’s no Wi-Fi. I really missed having that convenience.
We still had a pleasant stay, but the apartment felt cramped and the kitchenette was very basic. Cooking for 4 was hard with just 2 very slow electric hobs, no oven, a broken dishwasher and no work surface. They didn’t offer any compensation for the faulty dishwasher, which was disappointing. Even though the contact at arrival was quite pleasant, there wasn’t even an apology.
