Appartement Le Prarion

A really good spot, close to everything a tourist might need. I’d recommend it.

I booked just one night for two adults and two small children, four people in all. But when we arrived that evening, it was impossible to sleep: there was dirt and dog hair everywhere, including on the bed and pillow. I can’t even describe the upstairs hot water situation; there was only enough for two people at most. Shame on you for taking my money...

The caretaker was shockingly rude when we asked for help finding apartment 56. He reacted aggressively and offered no help at all. If I’d been by myself, I’d have been terrified. He seems to forget that lost tourists may come through the residence where he works. The apartment is cute, has what you need for a short stay, and is in a great location. The owner was warm, welcomed us kindly and gave useful sightseeing tips, even though he wore no mask during COVID-19 and repeatedly put his fingers in his mouth to turn the pages of the tour guide he gave us. The floor was very dirty when we arrived and needed a proper sweep. A few things were missing, including shower gel and Wi-Fi, though Wi-Fi wasn’t essential, and the skylight blind was broken. Keep in mind this is a private rental with no reception, and you can’t pay by credit card.

This isn’t the apartment shown in the photo, but another one on the second floor. It’s a fantastic duplex, right at the foot of the slopes and beside the lake, with ducks to watch. Shops are nearby, the bus stop is 50m away, and there’s private parking. In winter you can see fireworks from the balcony. Pure bliss, 400 stars from me, haha!
