The breakfast was excellent, and we slept comfortably in a very good bed. The hotel is handy if you have a car, and a room overlooking the parking area may be quieter at night. The welcome from reception and the staff was lovely. But the place seemed short-staffed: even though we got back at 5 PM, nobody had cleaned our room. It also didn't seem equipped for the summer heat, with too few fans available.

The staff really came through when our train and bus were unexpectedly cancelled. They helped us make calls and look into other ways to travel, and we felt very well looked after. The lounge was a great place to sit with coffee, and the buffet breakfast was delicious. We also slept well, with comfy beds and hot showers. We had an incredible few days here and will definitely stay again when we visit Chamonix.

The restaurant food was poor, and the waitresses were extremely rude. My wife ordered a salad that was meant to come with mozzarella, but they had run out and brought her a plate of lettuce instead. They still charged us 15 euros, the price of a full dish. There are much better restaurants in Les Houches. The rooms are tiny, worn down, and very expensive. The place feels more like a hostel than a hotel.

Getting to Chamonix-MontBlanc is easy from here. The hotel is also close to the main things to do in Les Houches. Our room was fairly spacious, and the place was cosy and pretty clean.

The staff were super lovely and helpful, and the hotel itself was great, with a beautiful setting and very nice, fancy rooms. My only criticism is the parking charge: it was €18 for 24 hours when we visited. There is free parking down the road, though the car park behind the hotel looked big enough for a few cars.
