Hotel La Barme is a short, slightly uphill walk from the prarion gondola, so it's well placed for the Les Houches pistes. That also means it's at the end of the bus route and far from the action in the main town. The accommodation is clean and basic, and breakfast is simple but adequate. Staff are very friendly and speak enough English to help if your French isn't up to it. There's wi-fi, though it's painfully slow, so don't count on watching Netflix in the evening. Basic, but decent value.

We had great views from our balcony, and the accommodation was clean and affordable. The location is handy for the slopes, ski lift, and bus stop. Emily was a big help and gave us all the information we needed. Thanks, Emily.

A quaint place for a stop before carrying on along the TMB. The owner is kind and trusting. Just don't come expecting anything fancy.

Very clean, comfortable rooms with hot showers and a lovely mountain feel, all at a really reasonable price. It's a small hotel run by a very friendly woman, and I'd recommend it.
