The peaceful, rural surroundings are full of animals, including wallabys, peacocks, ducks, geese and exotic birds, and the owner was kind. Sleeping in a yurt was a fascinating change, with a comfortable bed and cool decor. We visited during on-and-off rain and still had a lovely time; I’m sure it would be even better in sunny weather. The only downside was the blocked sink in the outhouse. For a stay longer than one night, we would have insisted it be fixed.

There are kangaroos, a Lama, Peacocks and a Goose, and the tent interiors are nice and unusual. It’s a unique experience in a great location and nice for children, but a bit pricey for what you get. The host barely engaged with us and doesn’t speak English. The mattresses need replacing.

The Yourte itself was nice, but I wouldn’t stay again. It’s very remote, hard to find, and offers none of the luxury suggested by its advertising, so it doesn’t feel like good value. The host was friendly, but spoke close to zero English.
