The room was lovely, spacious, and excellent. The people were so kind and made us feel right at home.

The breakfast was such a treat, especially the fresh homemade croissants. There was also tea, coffee, milk, orange juice, toast, butter, and jam, all served with a smile. Nicole and Marc were incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived. We found the Black & White guesthouse by chance after a difficult family event brought us to Les Martys in the Aude region. Its peaceful setting in the Black Mountains, surrounded by greenery and flowers, was just right for anyone who loves nature and quiet. Nicole and Marc were wonderfully warm and kind, and their adorable dog Lloyd welcomed our little dog just as warmly. The two dogs stuck together the whole time. Our large room was just right, with a comfortable bed, books, games, a wardrobe, a kettle, tea, and little gifts. The bright, spacious bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, plus complimentary toiletries. Our hosts also shared plenty of information about local attractions. Their kindness helped my husband and me through a hard time. This really is a peaceful haven, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. We'll be back very soon, we already miss them. Marc and Nicole gave us an unparalleled welcome. I couldn't fault the cleanliness, the bed, or how well everything was organized. It was a short, peaceful stay, with fantastic walks nearby, a beautiful lake with lots to do, and historic towns to explore. I highly recommend Chez Black and White.
