The owners were really welcoming, and the night with our tent was peaceful. The price was reasonable, almost 25 Euros. I would have given it five stars if the bathrooms had been better, though I’m sure they’ll improve them. :)
We’re two cycle tourers, and this charming, quiet campsite really impressed us. Everyone was very friendly.
It was a bit run down, but it was meant to be closed in the second week of October. For a last-minute stop, it was about what you'd expect for what you paid.

Arriving with no booking, food, or place to sleep, we were warmly welcomed by the campsite team at Camping Lou Payou. They really came through for us. We slept well in the clean, comfortable facilities, and being able to sleep in the next morning helped us recharge. Thanks to the whole team for being so kind and professional. We had a wonderful night and highly recommend the campsite to other travelers.
