Mas des 4 Vents

The apartment is spacious enough for four, comfortable, and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of homemade products. The hosts gave us a very warm but discreet welcome. Set among vineyards and olive groves, the gîte is easy to reach by road without the usual road-related hassles. A wonderful find, and an experience we'd happily repeat!

The children loved being able to roam around in the peaceful natural surroundings, and the view of the pond was lovely. It's a superb cottage for families, especially with children who can already walk, and it's also a great spot for water sports. We know the area well and found it perfect, with Le Rouet, La Palme, Leucate, and Barcarès all not far away. People who don't know the area might prefer to stay closer to towns and villages. The hosts are superb, and the kitchen is good quality and well equipped. The floor and walls creak because it's a wooden building, but that didn't bother us. The bedrooms do get hot in summer even with the ceiling fan. We even brought our own fan! We'll be back, thank you.

The railway line blocks access to the edge of the Leucate lagoon.

Such a lovely, quiet spot, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards.
