Hôtel Biskui

The area is peaceful and feels safe, with lots of good restaurants and boulangeries. The hotel is a short walk from the metro, then roughly 30 minutes to most major sights. Our twin room was on the small side, but good value. It was spotless and nicely decorated, and we appreciated the refillable filtered water and biscuits on arrival. The staff were lovely and helpful. A receptionist welcomed us, handed over the key and explained what we needed to know. We didn’t try breakfast, though it looked good, and guests can get free still or sparkling filtered water in the breakfast room. A thoughtfully equipped little hotel with a good price, location and staff. We’d recommend it.

We booked the budget room, which was definitely small, but well worth the price and we’d choose it again. The hotel is cute, the staff were nice, and we felt looked after. They even offered us free cookies and popcorn. It’s a bit outside the centre, but close to the metro, so getting around was easy. Would recommend.

We paid 50€ and really couldn’t complain. The nearest metro is around a 10-minute walk, but otherwise everything was great. Our room was clean and spacious for Paris, bigger than rooms I’ve had at four-star hotels. The French guy who checked us in gave us a quiet room on the fifth floor since we needed to sleep before our flight. Free cookies, sweets in the lobby, and the whole hotel smelled like a candy factory. Amazing from start to finish.

A few sounds from the heating starting up in the morning could bother you if you’re a light sleeper hoping to lie in. I didn’t notice road or general hotel noise on the fifth floor. The room was clean, Wi-Fi worked well, and the hotel feels modern and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there were little treats when I arrived. They made up my room each day, which I hadn’t expected on a two-night stay and appreciated. Note that the lift starts halfway up to the first floor, so you’ll have steps to manage. I’d recommend this nice little hotel.
