Suite L'éclipse Paris, logement avec jacuzzi, à 10 minutes des Champs Elysées

The apartment was on the first floor, just below the building entrance. The building seemed to be at risk of collapsing and had reinforcing posts holding it up. Bars covered the windows, and people smoked weed in the lobby and shouted through the night. We also had no privacy, the neighbors could look straight into the toilet. The private jacuzzi was the reason I booked, but it was unusable. Its temperature knob was broken and spun freely, and the water wouldn't go below 50°C, so it was like a boiling pot. The electrical panel and Wi-Fi router were in an open cupboard right next to the jacuzzi, against the NFC 15100 standard, which prohibits electrical installations in bathrooms. It nearly caused an accident. We tried several times to reach the owner by phone, WhatsApp, and Airbnb messages, but heard nothing before our stay ended. There was no customer service on site. Airbnb reviewed the property and our evidence, then acknowledged our losses. My takeaways were an absent host, a dangerous property, a noisy neighborhood, and misleading advertising.
