The tasting covered eight wines they make, and we enjoyed them all. Before that, Vincent and Etienne, a lovely father and son, showed us around both the old and new wine cellars. We’d arrived ten minutes early, but they welcomed us right away. Etienne shared plenty of useful knowledge during the tour. We had a brilliant day, thank you.

The chateau is beautiful, and after our tasting we got a quick look around it. We’d just come back from a fabulous wine tour with Etienne, who was a fantastic host and explained a lot about how they make the wine. We sampled a small glass of each type, and it was delicious. I’ll definitely encourage any friends planning a wedding to book the venue. It would be such a wonderful place for one.

Even though we hadn’t booked a tour, the lovely owners went out of their way to show us around and let us taste their delicious wine. Merci!

Before our LeBoat trip on the Baise River, our hosts gave us a third-floor living room where we could spread out our maps and have a pre-trip meeting. We also toured the winery, sampled the wine, and bought some. The local prices were a welcome surprise since we’re used to paying close to $100 a bottle for wine of this quality, so we took a case home. Our rooms were very elegant, and breakfast was spectacular, with the first French breads of our trip. A wonderful place to stay the night before our trip.

Originally built in the 13th century, this chateau is a wonderful BnB and event venue. It feels about as close to a castle as you can get without a moat around it.
