Good service, a solid wine list, and generous portions. It’s a great old fashioned French steak house, with a big indoor BBQ that cooked the meat perfectly. The starters and desserts were great too. We live nearby and will definitely go back.

We ate at the restaurant and had lovely food with friendly, good service. The kids’ and adults’ set menus were good, as was the à la carte menu. The Cassoulet was especially lovely.

Now we skip the Wednesday market and head straight here whenever we're in the area. We first stumbled on this place after a market visit, and the €15 menu kept us coming back: four courses with perfectly decent house wine. You get your choice of salad of the day or house fish soup with all the trimmings, then a bowl of homemade terrine to slice yourself, followed by the day's dish or steak cooked over a wood fire, and dessert. It mainly serves local diners, but we always feel welcome. Just the kind of family-run place I like.

The hotel itself is lovely, with clean, modern rooms that are clearly well cared for. The town felt run down, though, and by 10 pm on Saturday night everything was closed.
