Winter’s a bad time to stay here. The reversible air conditioning doesn’t heat the room, and it’s so noisy that sleep is almost impossible. There are no shutters or double glazing either. Paying 80 euros to spend the night in a fridge is a rip-off.

We had booked three rooms for our wedding, including one for the bride and groom, and they were cancelled at the last minute without warning. We only discovered this by chance 15 days before the wedding, and the hotel management didn’t tell us. The explanations were vague and changed depending on who called. It caused us a major headache while planning the wedding.

We come back to Lézignan every year, and we always stay at Maison Allène. Marlène and Albert are warm, attentive hosts who look after their guests. There’s a friendly feel to the place, with a simple but contemporary setting, and the patio is lovely with all its fragrant plants. Anne and Christian

The homemade pasta was absolutely delicious. We got a warm welcome even though we arrived late, at 8:45 pm on a Sunday. A fantastic pasta bar, highly recommended!

One star because we have to give one. The owner is incredibly unpleasant and racist. Avoid this place at all costs. The end.
