Château de Ligny

The countryside around the chateau is lovely, with vineyards and pretty little villages nearby. It's a beautiful place, with a guest house, garden, and heated indoor pool, and the hosts were wonderful. A great choice for a relaxing break in France.

The rooms are lovely, there's an indoor pool, and some great restaurants nearby. I always enjoy staying here.

I sold the owner a coffee table through Selency, and we'd never spoken before. Afterward, they harassed my business and tried to blackmail me into changing the sales invoice to include delivery and other charges I never received. Be careful.

They wouldn't let us in because we arrived outside the strict 4 pm-7 pm check-in window. I can just about understand that, but they then immediately canceled our second night without a refund, even though we asked to come back the next day during the host's required hours. We were told the room was "no longer available." Either it was rented to someone else and paid for twice, or the host decided not to welcome us despite already having been paid. Either way, the host is using rigid terms to maximize profit at guests' expense. Calling this anything but fraud would understate how serious it is.
