La Closerie Saint Martin

This really feels like a little boutique hotel, even though it's a Chambre d'Hote. The rooms are lovely, with great showers, comfy beds, and nice bathroom soaps. We came with eight others after one of the couples recommended it, and the whole place was beautiful. Katerina and Marcel cook everything themselves, and the food and wine were terrific. Their dog Fado is lovely, too. The hosts are so welcoming, and all the small touches add up to a great experience. They speak perfect English, German, and French, and made sure nobody felt left out. We've all booked for next year already!

A lovely courtyard, lounge, and rooms, with wonderful food and drink. Marcel and Katharina made us feel very welcome, shared their extensive local knowledge to help plan our stay, and served a fantastic dinner. Don't miss stopping in the cellar for an aperitif beforehand. It's also a great place to meet interesting travelers over a meal. Highly recommend.

La Closerie made the meals part of the experience. Marcel and Katarina's hospitality brought guests together, so we found ourselves looking forward to breakfast and dinner. They made us feel like family rather than just visitors. The rooms were great, the food exceptional, and the location put so much within an hour's drive. When you want your stay to be more than a room to sleep in and freshen up, consider La Closerie.

We chose this place to visit the Chinon region and loved it. Our Prieure room was very clean and tastefully decorated, and the mattress was splendid. The hosts were so helpful with everything we asked. Great rooms, food, and hosts. I'd recommend it without hesitation and hope to return one day. Thanks, Marcel and Katherine!
