Au Prince Grenouille

We stayed for two nights with the family on our way home from Ile de Re. The girls especially loved the pool, games room, and the adorable pets. There are lovely grounds, outdoor badminton, and comfortable rooms, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. It's a real gem. Definitely eat here, it was the best food of our whole trip.

We stayed longer than we had planned, which says a lot about how at home the hosts made us feel. They were wonderfully friendly and shared stories of their exciting lives and experiences. Breakfast was excellent, and the historic building and grounds were special. The rooms have the feeling of the past, with modern conveniences, and even had a fresh orchid. I loved the high beamed ceilings, woodwork, stairs and railings, artwork, and furniture. A vacation stopover you shouldn't miss.

The spacious, nicely decorated rooms and delicious, generous breakfast made this a lovely stay. We especially appreciated the very friendly family who own the place. They looked after us superbly, attentive but never intrusive. There's also a large outdoor area for a pleasant walk. Best B&B we stayed at on this trip.

A peaceful setting and good value. We had a spacious, comfortable room, and breakfast was a treat with all the homemade confitures. The optional table d'hote meal was delicious and very reasonably priced. The host also sells several local wines to drink. A relaxing stay, highly recommended.
