Once we got inside, the apartment was clean, matched the photos and felt well located. The price was good too. Getting there at 10:30 p.m. was a hassle. There was no sign to show we were at the right place, and I never got the email saying the keys had to be collected at the Best Western.

We had a great weekend in Lille, a beautiful city where people were very welcoming, and we'd happily come back. The apartment was quiet and spacious, with excellent bedding. We picked up the keys at the Western Hotel, where the welcome was warm. It's only four minutes from the apartments. The place itself was really nice.

The main thing the photos miss is just how tiny the toilet is. Even someone of average height and weight will bump their knees, and it's shut off from the rest of the apartment by a thin wooden door. Most of the rooms look much as they do in the pictures. The apartment is central, but it sits right by the main route partygoers use, so things get a bit annoying after midnight.

We still felt it was worth four out of five for the price. The apartment is affordable, well placed, and on a fairly quiet street. The cleaning could have been more thorough, and neither of the two TVs worked, though we barely used them anyway.

A quiet, pleasant apartment, just right for exploring the city and coming back to somewhere cozy to sleep.
