Ibis Budget Lille Gares Vieux-Lille

The location was great, and the rooms were pretty average, but the hotel is a great option for the price. They let us wait in the lobby before check-in and provided hot water for tea, plus spoons and cups. Checkout was until 12:00 PM.

The triple rooms are too small, in my opinion, there’s no room to swing a cat. But they’re very affordable and well located, so I can’t complain too much. The staff are pleasant and cleanliness is OK. The room did have condensation problems, water damage around the window frame, and dead mosquitoes smashed on the bathroom wall.

The accessible setup was useful, with a ramp at the entrance and a lift, but the rooms and service made our two-night stay disappointing. The ground-floor room had more space, a fold-down shower seat and decent access, though it was dark and had mould on the bathroom wall. It was quieter than the room upstairs. That second-floor room was brighter but smaller and noisy, and had no shower seat. There was a visible crack in the wall by the toilet, which made us worry it could break if we used it. The receptionist did help us switch rooms, but her attitude felt snobbish. Staff also knocked and came in before we could answer three times, which made us very uncomfortable. The service felt unprofessional.

The service was really poor, both from the big-haired female receptionist and the staff at breakfast and lunch. Their conduct and attitude were bad. 🤯 I hope this feedback helps improve the service. Thanks 😊
