The room was a little cramped, with hardly any storage, but the welcome, breakfast and location were close to perfect. The scrambled egg tasted odd, probably reconstituted.

It's a very basic hotel: no kettle, safe or fridge, no net curtain or privacy blind on the window, and only two bath towels. A desk lamp would be useful too. There were a lot of homeless people in the area. Parking was a bonus, and the hotel is central for the Christmas market and Eurolille.

The friendly staff and location worked well for our weekend event at the Zenith De Lille. It's a short walk from the centre and food courts, so it would also suit a city visit. I had a good stay and can recommend the hotel, but the room needs renovation. Stains on the furniture, mattress and walls were a big turn-off for me, and I expect that sort of thing at an Ibis budget hotel, which this isn't. The room itself appeared clean, though the dusty climatization vents made it seem like some corners had been cut during cleaning.

We should’ve booked this place from the start. It was an easy enough walk to the Christmas markets, and quieter than hotels just a little closer to the center. Abdul at reception was so welcoming and helpful when our families arrived with nowhere to stay after our AIR BNB turned out to be too dangerous. This was exactly what we needed.

The room was awful: smoky, tiny like a prison cell, and with a terrible bed. The toilet wouldn’t flush. I raised it at reception and got no help. They mentioned a refund, but I never heard back, and ended up moving to another hotel. Terrible stay.
