Hotel Maison Louise Lille Centre - Handwritten Collection

I got some shopping done between work meetings because the center is so close. The breakfast was top-tier fuel for workdays, and the proactive, courteous staff made everything easy. Maison Louise has stylish, charming decor and rooms that are incredibly comfortable and quiet. A real gem for business travelers who want comfort and a great location.

The loft looked creative and appealing, but the design had serious problems with safety, hygiene, and basic function. The toilet had no sink or tap, so guests had to go upstairs just to wash their hands. The bathroom had no ventilation and became extremely damp, which was uncomfortable and could pose health risks. There was no telephone or other way to contact the front desk in an emergency, which felt unsafe and irresponsible. The staircase was especially concerning: the steps were extremely narrow and steep. I injured my shoulder and palm because of this hazardous design. The stay was extremely disappointing and unacceptable, and I’d strongly advise others against staying here.

The breakfast was a bit like a craft show, with so much to look at, and it even got this English gentleman to slow down and enjoy himself. We come here whenever we visit our son in Lille. The rooms are lovely and the staff are really friendly. We’ll be back.

We’ve got no complaints, so five stars. The location’s great, the rooms are clean and the service is good. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works, and the showers are proper showers. They also provide nice shampoo and body gel. You can skip room cleaning and get a free drink for doing so.
