For a budget hotel, it was clean and well placed, just a 2-minute walk from the beautiful train station and about 10 minutes on foot to the centre. It worked well for a short stay. The twin-room beds are very small, and the bathroom is tiny.

Breakfast at the restaurant is a reasonably priced buffet, and the location and parking are convenient. The stay still left us unhappy with the service and cleanliness. At check-in during a local holiday, the staff member seemed unhappy to be there and kept chatting with a coworker beside him instead of attending to us. We found it rude. Our room and bathroom were very small, and the bathroom had no ventilation and a lot of mold. We showed photos at checkout and hope they deal with it. We can't recommend this hotel and won't stay again if we can avoid it.

The room was roomy enough for three people and all our bags, and breakfast was very good and good value. But arriving at midnight was unsettling: a young man was begging right outside the entrance and kept coming in and out of the lobby while we checked in, since the door was unlocked. We'd booked a triple, yet had to make up the third bed ourselves. I also realized my bank card was missing after having it in my hand at reception. We searched thoroughly, but it never turned up, and I can't say whether it was lost or stolen. Since we'd already lost the card and didn't feel safe leaving things in the car on the street, we brought everything inside. The Ibis car park, which cost 5 euros, was full.

The staff were abrupt and very rude. One night the chef got aggressive while serving us a drink. I was comforting my wife at the time after we'd visited our daughter the day before her cremation. Otherwise, things could have ended very badly. This place made an already upsetting time 100 times worse. I would avoid it completely, and I won't consider an Ibis hotel again. Ibis should get a new chef, since he clearly doesn't enjoy his job.
