La Hulotte

The rooms are fantastic, and the whole place feels like a home. The couple who own it turned a dilapidated barn and house into a warm, very comfortable place themselves, and they’re kind and welcoming too. If you arrive early, you can have tea and unwind in the garden. Arriving late? You can join the 7 pm dinner and try the excellent local wines. Such a beautiful setting.

Dinner was homemade, tasty, and amazing. We had a wonderful stop at la Hulotte, with nice, clean, well-appointed rooms. Lionel and Claudine gave us such a warm welcome. They’re discreet, but happy to chat and help when you ask. They did an amazing job remodeling the place themselves, and you can tell they have experience welcoming pilgrims.

The included dinner was lovely, made by the hostess with local produce, and I wished we could have stayed longer. I walked the Way with my aunt and uncle, and we had a parental suite with a private bathroom and toilet. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The old house has been stunningly renovated entirely by the host. The hostess was fascinating too. She has written books on the Camino de Santiago and knows a lot about the night sky.

I was the only pilgrim there, but they gave me such a lovely welcome. Great hospitality and a big smile, plus a great room and meal. Had a great experience here.
