We loved the cat, and the chance to sample the chocolate made on site was a lovely extra. Karen was so welcoming, even though we got in fairly late, and she took time to help us book a restaurant table. The room was just right, and breakfast was a classic French spread with more coffee whenever we asked. The house sits in a very peaceful area, with a big tree-filled garden and a pool. One of our best stays in years. If we're near Lyon again, about 15 minutes away by car, we'd definitely stay at Karen Chocolat again. Thanks so much, Andrea & Max.

The pool was nice, though the midges in the garden got all of us. Karen's chocolate was probably the best part of the visit. Breakfast felt very limited for our large group, especially given the premium price. A couple more servings of corn flakes would have helped. The place is handy for the main road and Limonest, but you'll need a car to go further afield. The bus to Lyon is nearby, though service is limited and finishes early. Also, kitchen access is restricted, which could put off Airbnb guests and should be made clear before booking.

I called several times and couldn't get an answer. I left a friendly message asking them to call me back, but they never did. Really disappointing, and it didn't feel very professional.
