The hosts were gracious, and the castle is wonderfully quiet, with a great lake view and a nice pool. What makes it especially striking is its history: it’s a real castle over 1,000 years old, and the same family has owned it for more than 1,000 years.

Our room, Amarylis, was spacious, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We also had an excellent breakfast in the chateau kitchen. Everyone made my wife and me feel welcome. The chateau is beautiful and welcoming, and the accommodation, setting and surrounding area were all spot on. Many thanks to everyone 👍

There are quite a few steps, including the spiral stone staircase, but the climb is worth it for this beautiful castle and its stunning views. It has a new swimming pool, too. We enjoyed a good meal at the Relais in the village and a delicious breakfast on the terrace. We’ve visited the Dordoyne many times before and were delighted to find this place. We hope to return.

The Chateau is a beautiful building in a stunning setting. It’s decorated beautifully, and our room was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and the service excellent. We had a lovely stay, and many thanks to the staff. One thing to keep in mind: it’s not ideal for anyone who has trouble with steps. There are no handrails, which makes getting around quite tricky.

The owner was very friendly and courteous, and breakfast was excellent. The castle is massive, with a garden and a view over the lake. Inside it looks old but is well maintained, and the sleeping rooms have new bathrooms and comfortable beds.
