Brit Hotel Confort Loches

The service was great, but the rooms felt awful and a bit sketchy. There were mosquito problems in every room on both floors, and blood stains from bugs covered most rooms. The bathroom floods when the water pressure is too high, and there’s no proper toilet paper, just tissues. We also saw some questionable marks on the walls and couldn’t tell what they were. It might be decent if you’re staying alone, but sharing a room is unpleasant because there’s nowhere near enough space for two people.

A handy stop on the way south. We had secure parking, a friendly team, and a good breakfast. Room 218 was great, with a sunny balcony, and the bed was large and comfortable.

We booked the suite so we’d have space to spread out, and the bed and bathroom were great. It was quiet too, thanks to the double-glazed windows and doors. The pillows were a real problem: one option was rectangular and rock-hard, the other was a square euro pillow that sat too high. We ended up buying our own so we could sleep properly. The attached restaurant was closed for its annual holiday, only in France. I’d recommend staying and would come back, but I’d bring my own pillow.

A smoking incident in another room set off the fire alarm late in the evening. Aside from that, reception service was really good, and the hotel was clean, with a large room and complete equipment. The location is close to restaurants, the main road and the city. Breakfast buffet was very good, and parking inside the hotel was free and secure.
