The bread and viennoiseries at breakfast were fresh and good. The rest was pretty bleak, mostly boxed cereal and canned fruit. Our welcome was abrupt. The woman at the desk was occupied with other guests, handed us a key, and pointed us upstairs. She made a point of saying breakfast ended at 10 the next morning, “and no later!” Service after that was bland but acceptable. The room and hotel felt like mismatched 1980s bric-a-brac. Bathroom shelves were coming away from the wall, the wardrobe looked ready to tip over and its doors wouldn't shut, some keys didn't fit their locks, the walls were crooked, and the shower barely trickled. From the street the hotel looks cute, and there are awards on display, though I don't know what they were for or how old they are. Nothing we experienced felt award-worthy. We stayed because the bride had included it on a list for a nearby wedding. It needs a serious makeover. We won't return, and in its current state I wouldn't recommend it.

We paid €95 a night for two adults and a child, which was far too much for a dirty room, filthy toilet and bathroom, and just one roll of toilet paper for four nights. The room photos don't show the actual hotel, either. The entrance area was filthy, with dog droppings and cigarette butts left by the staff. When I complained, the manager seemed to be acting in bad faith. She said, “I'd like to find competent staff,” then hung up on me. So who was incompetent, the staff or the manager? Avoid this hotel at all costs!

Everyone enjoyed the meal, and I'd recommend repeating the experience. We were there for a birthday with family and friends. The menu was lovely and expertly prepared, and the servers were energetic, pleasant, and professional. The service was excellent.

We got in late in the evening, but there was a welcome note waiting with our keys, and they kindly lent us a steam iron. The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was generous if you have a hearty appetite. The phone reception was friendly.
