After the long drive, that warm welcome made us feel at ease right away. I loved having a kettle in the room for my favourite hot drink, Robois tea. The hostess also gave us useful, practical suggestions for making the most of our stay. The African-inspired tapestry on the walls was a surprise, with bright colors and plenty of character. We could park for free nearby, and the town centre was close. The swimming pool was fabulous, too. Then we woke up to a gorgeous sunrise. A lovely moment.

Whenever I stay in Lorient, I’m happy to choose Moka. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and breakfast had a delicious spread with a great selection of quality coffees. The staff were warm and welcoming without being intrusive. Special thanks to the kind ladies who greeted me when I arrived. I definitely recommend it.

The Wi-Fi wouldn’t work in the room at all, so I had to go downstairs to the shared breakfast area to get any work done. The room itself was extremely cramped, with no chair at all for the tiny desk. The shower was very small too, and getting out into the room was awkward because it sat right beside the sink. What bothered me most was the toilet bowl being in the bedroom rather than a separate room. I’d never come across that in a hotel anywhere before. There was also a low metal fitting in front of and below the bowl. I stepped on it by accident and was in a lot of pain. It shouldn’t be there, or there should at least be a warning.
