Chambre d'Hôtes La Bourdasse

Fantastic.

The setting was quiet and cool, just bliss. We had two fantastic days, with a warm welcome from the very pleasant owner and a superb breakfast. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We’d highly recommend it if you’re after a warm, peaceful stay.

The room was spacious, and the bed was perfect. We also really enjoyed chatting with our host, which is part of the charm of this kind of place. We spent two days at this bed and breakfast on a Gasconne cattle farm, which we were pleased to visit. It’s easy to find between Foix and Pamiers, and our host looked after us so well throughout our stay. She’d lit a fire in the fireplace when we arrived and again on both mornings. The room has its own entrance and an inside staircase up to the dining room, where breakfast is served. Breakfast was excellent, with brioche and homemade jams made to suit our preferences.

We stayed four nights with a couple of friends in the guest rooms at this cattle farm in Ariège. Our host, Mrs. Gouzy, was always cheerful and attentive, and made delicious homemade pastries using local products. She knows the area really well and helped us choose places to visit, including castles, caves, lakes, an underground river and medieval villages, as well as restaurants. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. Each has a private entrance from the courtyard and access to the upper floor where breakfast and dinner are served. It’s ideally placed for exploring all of Ariège. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend La Bourdasse guest rooms.
