Hotel de Nevers

The hotel's location is ideal for seeing Lourdes on foot, and it was easy to reach by car. There's secure on-site parking, which is useful if you have a non-French plate. You can also buy a ticket for the Grottes de Betharram at the desk. I was very happy with my one-night stay in August. The room was clean, secure, and a good size for a twin, with a fine shower and a comfortable bed. The Italian family who run the hotel were very welcoming, and Tony was especially helpful. Highly recommended, and thanks for the friendly welcome.

A week before our annual trip to Lourdes, the hotel told us there had been a “mistake” with our booking and asked us to share rooms. We'd reserved 12 rooms a year in advance. There was another Spanish bus group, who seemed to matter more to the hotel. They also couldn't provide a proper bill for all the rooms according to international rules. We've never had such a bad experience. Never again.

Good value for the price. The room was clean, and Wi-Fi is available. It's an easy walk to the Lourdes Grotto. The staff were pleasant and helpful, though they didn't speak much English.

This was our second stay, and it'll be our last. The staff were miserable. My dad played one song for my brother at the volume of a TV, then switched it off. Ten minutes later, we got a call telling us not to play loud music or party. It was only 7 pm, and it had been one song. We didn't turn on the TV because of the noise, but at 10 they came up to say people could hear us talking through the walls. It's an old hotel with thin walls, so no surprise there. We could hear the TV in one neighboring room, and people in the other room talked until 4 in the morning, but apparently that wasn't an issue.
