Hotel National

The staff were cheerful and really helpful. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the grotto, a great spot for a day in Lourdes.

I felt at ease here, with clean, bright, comfortable rooms and friendly, laid-back staff. The hotel is right in the middle of everything. We had the all-inclusive option; the food was tasty, though modest and repetitive. You can park nearby, but the hotel itself has no parking. If arriving by bus, you can drop off and pick up passengers outside, then park the bus in their nearby lot. The sound insulation between rooms could be better.

The hotel looks well kept from outside, but my room wasn't that tidy. It was so cramped there was barely room to move around. There was no bin or iron, and no face towels on the second day; they reused the towels from the first day. The toilet flush was broken too. The receptionist spoke only French, not English. Very poor service. I won't come back.

The lobby and lounge are beautiful, and the Hotel National was clean and comfortable. When I used the heater, the room warmed up quickly and stayed warm. The manager, staff, and cleaners were all friendly, helpful, and efficient. I'll definitely return.
