Mercure Lourdes Imperial

We were there during a heat wave, around 95°F, and the air conditioner worked really well. The beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The room was small, though, and I personally dislike having the toilet separate from the sink because it feels unhygienic. The shower soap was the same as the soap by the sink, and it was terrible for hair, so bring your own shampoo. There are lots of restaurants within a few blocks, so we didn’t eat at the hotel. The location is excellent for visiting religious sites, and I’d stay here again.

The breakfast was great, and the hotel was clean and conveniently located. Front desk staff were especially friendly, efficient and helpful.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good, though there were very few sweets and yoghurts. For one night it was okay, but the stay didn’t match the Mercure standard we’ve had at other hotels. The room was small, like an Ibis budget room, and there was no mini fridge.

You’d struggle to find a better location, and as a Mercure the hotel is generally a reasonable standard. Parking is practically nonexistent, maybe six spaces, though there’s free parking along the river from 19:15 until 09:00. Breakfast was okay, but many Mercure hotels do better. They had eggs but no way to boil them, and cereal but no milk. There was an evening restaurant, but no spaces available.
