We were treated really badly, and I wouldn't recommend this place. Save your money for a cleaner, safer, proper hotel. In our room or apartment, which I think was a staff room, the electricity didn't work properly and the plumbing only worked sometimes. The lift broke down too, so we had to use the badly lit spiral stairs and walkways. This place should be condemned and demolished. The staff need lessons in how to treat people paying for a service.

We paid 110 Euros for one room, though there were plenty of better-priced options in the same area. The room wasn't anything special or as homey and cozy as some reviews make it sound. Maybe it was a decent option when those reviews were written 5-6 years ago. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned between guests, and the bathroom door wouldn't shut. After travelling a huge distance, we needed to leave at 6 am, which isn't even that early. We were ready and went downstairs, but the door was locked, and neither of the two numbers at the counter answered. I understand people need sleep, but guests may have trains or planes to catch on time. Honestly, so disappointing.

For what you pay, this is a very good option in Lourdes. I'm a 20 years student, and I can say the room was very good for the price. The bed was comfortable, with a good mattress and warm blankets, and there was a warm shower. My window looked onto one of Lourdes' main streets. The receptionist was kind to guests, and the location is perfect, about four blocks from every important thing. Minimarkets and places to eat stay open late. Very recommendable!

Hotel Saint Jean Baptiste has a central location, making it easy to get to nearby attractions, restaurants, and shops. I especially liked the delicious breakfast each morning. The staff were attentive throughout, suggesting local attractions and helping with my requests. The charming atmosphere and immaculate, comfortable rooms made a relaxing place to return to after exploring the city. From arrival, the hospitality was warm and exceptional, and the decor and amenities showed care for guest satisfaction. Hotel Saint Jean Baptiste exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it for a memorable, enjoyable stay in Lourdes.

I would NOT recommend this hotel, especially for families with kids. Airflow in the rooms and throughout the hotel was a major problem, and it made it easy to feel suffocated. Hygiene wasn't properly maintained either. Better to spend your money elsewhere than risk your health.
