Les Chêneslierres

Cathy made us feel so welcome, and she knows the Luberon inside out, from its history to what's happening now, in both the north and south. She shared great places to reach on foot, by bike, or by car, and we soon got to know Lourmarin, Cucuron, Ansouis, Buoux, Bonnieux… The room had lovely materials and tasteful decor, and stayed like a cool, peaceful refuge on hot days. Tall trees surround the property, with cicadas and warblers all around, and the brand-new swimming pool works well for all ages. Long live the ivy-covered oaks and everyone who visits them!

The owner greeted me like family, with a smile more useful than a thousand tourist guides. Inside, the lavender-scented sheets, softly creaking shutters, and breakfast gave the place a Provençal novel feel, with a hint of a Pagnol film and a Ricoré commercial. I arrived a worn-out traveler and left the same way, though now coffee has lost its appeal to me.

Our room at Les Chênes Ivyres had been beautifully redone, and it was spotless with a really comfortable bed. We spent one night in such a calm, relaxing setting. Thanks to our host for being so kind and welcoming.

Catherine was attentive and really pleasant, and we had no complaints about our night there. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was very good.
