Hôtel Le Lido

We spent six days at the Lido in August with our three children, and it was a wonderful stay. The family-run team made us feel welcome, and the kids got to practise their French. Nathalie at reception was especially friendly and accommodating. At breakfast, the gentleman serving us was kind and told us a lot about the country and its people, along with some useful tips. The restaurant was a highlight: fantastic pizzas, several kinds of salad, delicious salmon, and especially the schnitzel, my favourite. Many ingredients come from local suppliers. The room was on the small side but adequate, and it was cleaned really well. We only wished there were somewhere to hang the bath towels. The area isn’t especially attractive, but being close to the airport suited us. You really need your own transport, since getting around and taking excursions without a car is inconvenient. The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, though it isn’t as breathtaking as some others on the island. We’d come back in a heartbeat. It’s a shame we live in Australia, which makes that a bit inconvenient. Thanks to everyone who made our time slowing down so enjoyable!
