The restaurant and downstairs areas were lovely, and the food and service were very good, which unfortunately didn't match our room. It faced the street and could be noisy with passing traffic, though it quieted down after 11pm. The toilet was separate from the shower, but so cramped that sitting down meant you couldn't close the door without hitting your head. The toilet seat hadn't been cleaned, so we had to clean it ourselves. In the morning the shower water was only lukewarm. It felt like we'd been given a room that needs updating. Parking was a very tight squeeze, although it felt safe with the gates locked at night. I'd recommend the hotel if you get one of the newer rooms. We may just have been unlucky with the outdated one we were given.

We ended up stranded in Ploërmel with our camper broken down, and this was the nearest hotel. I'm really glad we found it. The rooms look lovely and seem to have been recently renovated. The owner and staff were so sweet and attentive, especially when helping with the extra things our baby needed. We had a big bed, and might make a stay here part of our holidays next time.

There's plenty of game provided and good beer at this relaxed hotel, and the staff are friendly. Ploermel is an old town worth exploring, especially the astronomical clock.
